First Impression are a Midlands based functions band and have been performing at top venues and for a variety of leading functions for more than a decade.

The band comprises of keyboards, brass, bass guitar, drums and a female vocalist.

We play every style of music for dancing, and can span the decades; including standards from 50 years ago, right through to the contemporary era of popular music.

The band members are Kit Henson, a superbly talented female vocalist who has sung with the Staffordshire County Jazz Band. Kit can sing anything from Jazz to Pop, through to Modern Funk.

Steve Brown who plays keyboards and sings lead vocals and harmonies, was 10 years professional with Second City Sound (internationally known recording artistes, who won Opportunity Knocks 6 times!).

Phil Deeming plays bass guitar and provides vocal harmonies, and before First Impression played with the renowned Andy Hamilton & The Blue Notes.

Kevin Brown plays drums, sings harmonies, was with The Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra and has worked with most of the leading musicians around and their bands.

Andy Peate is fulltime professional and plays keyboards, trumpet, flugelhorn and sings. He also was with The Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra. Andy has also worked with the aforementioned Andy Hamilton and with many musical luminaries around the country.

The combination of these talented musicians gives an exciting musical experience that can appeal to all ages.

The band have played at most leading hotels, including the Belfry Golf Hotel, Ettington Park, Chateau Impney, Chesford Grange, Stone Manor and have played at most leading golf clubs in the Midlands.

The band can if required augment to a 6 piece, an 8 piece or whatever is needed, using the finest musicians around.
